You can walk around half of the lake and get awesome views of the terrain around Matheran. Several points in the area. In rains you can enjoy wetting in the waterfall. Can go walking or take a horse ride. Must visit.

This is a nice place to take your selfie snaps. It looks like a small dam but its a lake. In the month of May, lake was not flooded but still it provides a nice view.

This is beautiful and small lake. You will get very good and fresh air over here. Lot of monkeys are there, you may need to take care yourself by them

Not a very big lake, but beautiful. After rainy season the lake is full and water overflows. There are shacks serving snacks etc.

Good place to visit in morning when windy . The scenic view is awesome. However do take care of hat / cap / spectacles cause my spectacles flew with the wind and I was lucky to catch it :)

No, camping is not allowed on the open grounds. But there are Hotels nearby and you can avail of those to stay. However, you can sit late evening near the lake and enjoy the nature.
