A vertical drop of around 500m. And a nice looking green cover all over the hills. Nothing more than that.

The place is attached to the road, so you don't have to walk a long way. The deep gorge and the surrounding views are nice but no overly so. You can view the Chauragarh temple from here, in fact, this could be your first view of this most iconic landmark of Pachmarhi. We went in April so it was pretty warm by the time we reached there but the scenery was good enough to make us stay for a while.

This point is close to the roads so not much walking required. Very deep gorge in the valley and great place for viewing of the surrounding heavy forest areas.

Name is mysterious but trust me, place is very simple... Nothing is extra ordinary except the size of the trench. People used to say, if I throw a stone in the trench, it will never reach bottom but I was a kid then so forget it. Telescopic view of the another higher place (चौरागढ़) is wonderful. It is said that a lake was there at that place but changed into hill (Don't ask how).

The name signifies container does not mean you will plan to keep something there.

And be careful, it's depth may discourage someone's idea of suicide.

Unlike many other points at Pachmarhi, this one does not require a long walk or a trek. However, it offers a lovely view of a deep gorge. In the backdrop, you can also see Chauragarh peak with the temple of Lord Shiva on top.

Certainly worth a visit - you can get some nice pictures from here. If you want, there are horse rides, mini bike rides, etc, on offer for entertainment.

This deep gouge was utilized by the British army officer who was dissatisfied by his wife to commit suicide. That being the only negative point for this place otherwise this a beautiful place to see . one must not miss the long tree vines which is occasionally used by the tribal s to climb down the cliffs to get to the underground for collection of herbs and other medicinal roots. The vines can only be seen by the telescopes which is available for rs 20
