he Gorur Dam, which is also known as the Hemavathi Dam, is a beautiful and striking picnic spot that attracts tourists from all across the country.For security reasons they dont allow insde so going there is waste of time and money

The dam is good, and has stairs to climb to top but the police officials and locals inside don't allow to go on top easily. For us we need to ask a lot and then later they allowed later but no photography was allowed. Once...More

Its best if visited in june-july when they open the gates. Now it's just average place. Road construction is taking place so ride from main road until here is not that great. You have to walk nearly 800m after parking your vehicle. There was no...More

It's worth a drive to this place and walking to the dam. They don't allow vehicles inside, so be prepared for a KM or so of walking... They open the dam gates when there is water. People are not allowed to scale the dam and...More

better to visit during monsoon as the water will be full. Poor part is there is no entertainments nearby this dam

Hi Dileep, Dam is not open for anybody. They will not allow to go on the Dam. But, you can have a complete view of the dam from outside(adjacent park). The main fun is not on the dam, but in the backwater. Where you can... More
