Go only if you have time to spare. The zoo is not very well maintained. Most of the enclosures, especially for the birds are small and it is sad to majestic birds like the Steppe Eagle and the Fishing owl, struggle in their confined space...More

Best experience in the zoo was seeing languors rising to the top of the tree speedily and jumping very fast from one branch to another along with producing funny sounds. Another good experience was the bird Maina repeating a few words spoken by visitors.

Awesome collection of animals and birds but couldnot find a one horn Rhino. Big and huge. Tigers, leopards, Birds, Snakes, Kids play area, A botanical garden, battery cars/vans to move around. Everything we found but not a Rhino could I spot.

I really felt this place is not maintained properly.Just saw 1 elephant and 1 Rhino.Lots of trees but very less animals. This place is the largest of its kind in the North East.Too much to walk but nothing worth to see.You can see lots of monkey.

It is a well kept and maintained zoo. the animals look well fed and healthy. there is a walled enclosure with a bison, which must be more than 1 ton in weight. the rhino is also a "must watch"
