- RamkishoreBengaluru, India81 contributionsBest beach to play in the water!A very beautiful white sand beach and the best one in all of Andaman to play/swim in the water! Only downside is the travel to get here and back because it’s one of the last points/beaches on the island. Lifeguards have earmarked the points until which one can swim and be safe in the water. Plan a trip here around 4pm in the evening and stay until after the sunset, watching the sunset here is beautiful! Quite a few shops outside this resort for eating and shopping, most of them accept UPI!Visited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten April 7, 2023
- Resort339195126922 contributionsBeautiful experienceI bisited the beach in April this year. It was an extremely beautiful experience. The view from. The beach is phenomenal. It is really clean and well mentained. It has changing rooms and showers nearby, thus they are wasily accessible. Highly recommended!Visited April 2023Written April 14, 2023
- khushboos2014Gurugram (Gurgaon), India26 contributionsSerene BeautyRadhanagar Beach is not said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia for nothing. It is definitely one of the places that you must visit at least once in the lifetime. During our 5 days visit at Havelock Island, we visited Radhanagar twice. First we visited in the evening as suggested by all since the sunset is simply breathtaking. Second time we visited it at dawn. Trust me, we were stunned. Its like we were in another world. There was no one on the beach, just three of us. The water, the waves, the sky, the feels.. everything was perfect. Few suggestions 1. Don't carry to much stuff. Beaches are fun when you can have easy stroll. 2. Everything is available outside the beach area so don't worry about food and drinks. Enjoy loads of coconut water. 3. Move to the far end of the beach if you need some isolation. 4. Carry a backpack instead of a handbag. 2 hours are enough at the beach. It closes at 5 pm. You can take a stroll till 6 but you can't go inside the water after 5. So as opposed to the popular belief, do try and visit Radhanagar in the morning also. You won't regret it.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 30, 2023
- Lingavelu B4 contributionsGreat beach!Good long beach and also quite wide as there is enough shoreline before the ocean actually starts. One can take very cool snaps on the beach and thoroughly enjoy here for 2-3 hours. The water is clear and the sand is white. It beats any other beach that I have visited.Visited July 2023Written July 28, 2023
- sukhbinder singh6 contributionsBest BeachThe beach is one of the best beaches in Andaman I have already two times visited. The water is crystal clear and blue. The sunset is very beautiful here. The beach gets a bit crowded during the evening times.Visited July 2023Written July 31, 2023
- Escape115551183942 contributionsVisit Beach once a YearRadhanagar Beach is amongst the most beautiful beaches in Asia. Located in Havelock Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, this astounding beach has been attracting Globetrotters with its impeccable and serene ambiance. The turquoise blue sea and white sand beaches of Radhanagar beach is an exclusive experience where you can relax and have a leisurely time with your partner or family. The panoramic sights of sunset on this beach will make you capture a few best memories of your Andaman trip.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 30, 2023

- BG1 contributionEnjoy but BewareBeware your belongings at this beach. The other day I witnessed a young local boy run out from the trees onto the beach to steal a bather's bag whilst the lady had gone in for a swim. Fortunately the lady found her bag in the shrub, with nothing missing. If she hadn't been so fortunate, she would have lost her phone, purse with credit cards, some cash and personal belongings. An experience like this could ruin a holiday. Please be vigilant with your belongings at any beach so this doesn't happen to you. For the record, this beach is highly rated and rightly so. It is absolutely beautiful and should not be missed if visiting Havelock Island. There is lockers available on the approach to the beach and you can nowadays buy waterproof pouches that will allow you to take keys, phones, wallets etc. into the water with you.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 13, 2023
- Hardik KatariaAhmedabad, India6 contributionsMost Beautiful and Swimmable beachWell I mus say this is the best beach I've ever been to. Follow few tricks to have a good time: 1. Carry swim wear towels, The beach has changing rooms showers and locker facilities. 2. When you enter radhanagar beach turn left towards Taj resort area and walk about 1 kms trust me you will find the most peaceful corner. 3. Don't forget to swim, It is a natural swimming pool. You can literally walk 100 meters into the beach* PS: if you can afford get a snorkeling mask or swimming goggles the water is damn clean.Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 13, 2023

Long & wide white sand stretch. Albeit crowdy but easily the best beach in South Andaman. Keep going north until you find thin stretch of the beach to find your tranquil resting place.

Stunning beach - it earns its ranking by providing a clean and welcoming venue for beach lovers. The beach closes after sunset enabling the authorities to have it cleaned and while it is sad to not being able to enjoy it well past sunset, it is one beach without the ubiquitous trash and stray dogs. The beautiful soft sand, the amazingly blue waters are like no other! The sunset of course is magnificent and hundreds throng to take pictures and professional camera men prowl to take your special pics. It was amusing to see almost movie like videos being shot on the sands by these professionals of young couples!

Great beach and clean . Facilities are limited so change and free yourself before venturing out to the water. Try to reach the changing rooms immediately after sunset. Overall great

Not worth it! good for pictures during g sunset if you like crowds, swimming not allowed.
They say there are crocodiles being seen daily/ weekly/ hourly, depending who you ask, and that’s why the beach is closed for swimming.
If you ask anyone if they’ve seen a crocodile you’ll get the same answer, NO!
It’s probably rather a strategic move to boost the business at elephant beach, that’s what a local told us.
It’s a nice beach but it’s like a car without wheels, a bit pointless!
I’d not recommend going to that area and especially not book an expensive hotel there as they won’t even inform you about the closed beach before traveling and then you’re stuck there.
Go to another island or another part of havelock instead.

Awesome experience, we went there around 4 o'clock , had a brief couple photoshoot for an hour. The time was around 5 pm and OMG !!!! the sunset view was out of this world... ❤️ Would easily suggest this beach for best sunset view in the Andamans.

This is the prettiest beach I've been to. The water was clean. No plastic on the beach. The trees in the background looked like they were from some movie.
Unfortunately it was closed for swimming but we had an amazing time just soaking in the views.

The most mesmerising beach in Andaman Islands. This is the best thing that can happen and the way to the beach is covered with forests and it is the most enchanting experience. One must not miss the sunset here.

Havelock Tips:
* Its more like backpacking destination. Hiring a scooter works best in havelock since its a small island and can be economically and conveniently explored on two wheeler. 500/600 Rs. per day and can also be availed from resort
* Radhanagar beach is beautiful and clean, however best explored early in the morning at 5/6 am when its least crowded and environment is pleasant. in the evenings it can get really crowded and post sunset at 5 PM swimming in beach is not allowed. though if you go extreme right on the beach you will find less crowded spots
* There is a remote beach called Neils cove to the extreme right of radhanagar. Once you enter radhanagar beach from main entrance, take right and keep walking towards the end on the beach.after 20 mins walk you will come to a rocky area and then from there a right brings you to Neils cove. Its a small remote beach, good for exotic photography and exploring shells and crabs. However dont venture into the waters as it appeared deep
* Route to Kala patthar beach is also very scenic and there are various small beaches in between which can be explored and will provide good photography opportunities
* Kala patthar beach is also cheaper to shop for local varieties made from pearl and shells (as compared to radha nagar)
* Night kayaking(bioluminescent) is over rated and over priced(we paid 3k per person). Can be dropped.
* Water sports at elephant beach are very expensive as compared to other beaches in India. However if with kids its a good destination to do water sports. Some water sorts unique to that region can be explored. Like mini submarine and sea walk. Rest can be done other places in India at a much cheaper rate. However the activities there are well managed. Locker facility is also available. if you are a senior citizen you may want to skip this
* Government ferries are 50 pct cheaper then private(Nautika and Makkruz). Also in government ferry you can go on the deck and enjoy views which you cannot in private. However government ferries can be booked online only a week in advance and there is limited online quota. However tickets can be booked manually at port window at origin station and your transport coordinator can help book
* You can spend 3 Nights in havelock with enough things to do..water sports at elephant beach, scuba and snorkelling trips, beaches ( mainly radha nagar and vijay nagar)

Beautiful and clean beach. Not too crowded but you can expect crowd on season. Swimming is allowed and a great experience so taking change of clothes is recommended. However, the changing rooms are terrible. No lighting and very poorly maintained.

Bsnl works the best in Andaman.
Followed by Airtel.
Autos are available on the spot in Port Blair.
Cabs and autos have fixed rates between 2 places in Andaman. ( they don't operate km-wise)
Cabs you can google Or ask the hotel to help.
In Havelock/Neil, scooty is the best option.

What about the crocodile situation there? Even though saltwater crocodiles aren’t likely to swim in the open sea Lauren Failla got half eaten by a croc while snorkeling near that beach in 2010.

I had booked a package with Sinclair Hotel group which included our stay in Port Blair for 03 nights (including breakfast+ lunch or dinner) and two nights in Havelock Island. Sight seeing including North Bay Island and cruise (Macruz) was included. The food in both the hotels was perfect so we did not have to look for food outside. But to try food outside we did go to a sought Indian restaurant for pure veg food, which was equally delicious.

Hi, I am planning for the following travel itinerary in Andaman:
Day 1: Reach Port Blair in late afternoon. Planning to see sound and light show at the cellular jail in the evening. Then retire for the night.
Day 2: Take the morning cruise at around 9:45 a.m. to Havelock Island. Enjoy the beach and stay there for the night. If possible wanna go for the elephant beach.
Day 3: in case, it is not possible to cover elephant beach the previous day, can I cover it on next day early morning provided I have sufficient time to catch the afternoon cruise back to Port Blair?
Day 4: Visit to limestone cave through the Bartang forest and back to Port Blair in the evening.
Day 5: Return to Mumbai.
Will this itinerary be covered in a tour operator's package?

Elephant beach can be accessed via ferry or trekking.either way it takes time and I think it better if u keep it for day 3.enjoy kala patthar and Radha nagar on day 2. Can add on scuba diving also.
Hope this helps.
