Couldn't find decent parking. Nobody seems to know where it was at. The locals seemed intent on screwing the tourists on parking. Some jerk made us leave the moose club parking, lot.even though there was plenty of space. I'm a veteran and would never go to this event again

A place we come every time we get to Conneaut. It is a great place to walk along the beach. Great place where children can run and play.

The beach is accessible by a long Boardwalk, and was enjoyed by entire group and children. Of course everyone wanted to pick up beach glass.

This is the finest beach I have visited on Ohio's North Coast. It is long and wide and sandy. It is very clean notwithstanding large numbers of gulls who seemed to be quite unafraid of humanoids. The water is clear and offers just the right amount of wading area before one is obliged to head into deeper territory. There are quite a few smooth rocks on shore and in the first 10 or 12 feet of the water itself but they are not impossible to walk on for those without proper beach shoes. The park itself is very large with two upper elevated areas with steps to the beach and with areas for various games - bocce, shuffleboard, soccer, perhaps other sports too (our objective was to swim and sunbathe so we did not focus on the upper level activities). There is a lower level parking area for those focused on the beach. A boardwalk runs the entire length of the beach parallel to the shore and about halfway from water's edge to the parking area. Behind the beach area and parking lot are plenty of picnic areas and playgrounds. This is a place with something to offers folks of all ages. it is very tidy and obviously well maintained. There appear to be some concessionaires in the lower level area but they were closed during our visit - it was a Monday toward the end of the season.

This is a great Lake Erie park. There is a parking lot at a higher elevation that offers great views of the lake for watching from your car. There is a beach that has a boardwalk in the middle of it, so one can walk on the beach without stepping in the sand if desired. I have not seen another Lake Erie park that has a boardwalk like that, and I have been to most of them. This is also the only Lake Erie park I have seen that encouraged bonfires by having fire pits available for them. You can watch down to the beach and boardwalk from the higher parking lot, but you can also drive down to the level of the beach if you do not want to go up and down the hill.

This is a midsized city park with the usual picnic tables and pavilions and a snack bar (which we did not utilise and thus cannot comment upon). The real high point of the park is the small but clean beach, which of course has a great lake view and would be a fine place for a picnic. Oh, and the town of Ashtabula itself has a surprisingly cut and cozy downtown area next to Lake Erie that reminds one of an old seaport or fishing village.

This a great place for picnics and family reunions. There is the boardwalk you can walk on. They have hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream to buy there. They have a gazebo for weddings at the top of the park. Lots of parking. On Thursdays they have a car show on the beach in the summer you can go to. One of the nice's parks around. Also they have D-Day at the park in Aug. for the re-enactors.

Been coming here for decades since childhood staying in cottages with grandma on Point Pleasant overlooking the Lake and next to the upper Township Park area. This beach is the best along Lake Erie with an old fashioned concession area with tables, grills, playground and quaint park like picnic areas. concession food and ice cream is great, restrooms have changing stalls and outdoor showers to rinse off... and the old black payphone is still in the hall leading to the kitchen area. Charming lake stone bridges spanning the creek leading to the lake and stone steps built at the turn of the last century remain. Boardwalk planks lead out to the sand beach, and bocce is available at the top of the hill near the gazebo/ask for balls at the concession area.
They need to fix the tennis courts and install new nets on the upper level; basketball courts and large grassy field on the upper hill level overlooking the beach, where you can watch the sun set over the lake; spectacular and free! There are only two seasons for us, going to the Lake and waiting to go to the Lake!
