Visited Hugh Hamilton today with a small group of young friends. From the venue, the view, the wines and the friendly and engaging service from Carolyn and Rebecca it was a fabulous experience! Can't wait to return with other friends and visitors. Thanks!

Great venue, great wines and even better staff running the place. The staff are really friendly. I was given a wine for tasting that was not in the tasting menu as she thought I might like based on our chat about red wine. It works...More

Great wine tsting experience presented by Kath as she guided us through their range of excellent red wines. We are partial to heavy reds and they have several that met expectations. If you like heavy reds then The Oddball, Saperavi is worth a buy.

The setting is beautiful. However while they have the great idea of pairing their wine with cheeses we were disappointed to discover the cheeses were not locally sourced and a lot from overseas. Would be great if they were local and could be purchased along...More

Hugh Hamilton’s cellar door is one of the highlights in McLaren Vale. The building itself has the most amazing views, breath-takingly displayed by its theatre-in-the-round set, built atop an old water tank. Hugh Hamilton is a winemaker with a quirky sense of humour that is...More

We visited Hugh Hamilton wines in McLaren Vale, one of Australia’s renowned wine regions. The long drive between columns of stately cedars past the “sheep dip” signs, to the beautiful rotunda tasting room where a huge black sheep stands at the entrance is a must...More
