We are great fans of these wines, and since we were going to the Maclaren Vale decided to drop in. Tasted the whole range, and purchased some delightful wines. We particularly enjoyed the 2014 Grenache and the Mataro. Their Shiraz, (sparkling), Mouverde, and 2015 Tempranillo...More

Special $15 tasting pax 4 reds with a souvenir glass made in Germany. Entertaining tour by Justin McNamee who’s the winemaker. We tried a lot more wine than we’ve bargained for. Traditional wine making at its best. Thanks Justin for making it so memorable!

We messaged first to ensure our two Golden Retrievers were welcome, then struggled to find the right road but was worth it! Beautiful scenery enhanced our wine tasting experience, as did a visit from their wine dog. Eventually we bought Samuels Gorge Mosaic of Dreams...More

We visited Samuel's Gorge last week based on a review from a friend. We'd been meaning to do it for a while but never quite got there as there are so many great cellar doors in the area these days. We almost fell for the...More

An absolutely amazing view across the gorge, beautiful setting and fantastic service. We sat outside admiring the view whilst having tasting at table. Staff went over and above to ensure all customers were happy. Great wine too topping it off.

Visited mid-week a few days ago. Very busy with people sitting around at tables everywhere. It was a strange cellar door experience as there was no bar nor designated tasting area, and it was not clear where we were to look for assistance. Eventually a...More

This was the second stop on our Fat Lady Wine Tour. Funky interior with wine press etc bedecking the rooms. Popular with locals it seems. We tasted 5 wines. One I recall was an obscure grape variant from Spain. Nice experiment, but no thanks. Great...More

Sorry for the late reply, guys. The 1900’s presses inside the old barn / cellar door weren’t used to press grapes but to press olives from the 1920’s to 1970(ish). The olives used were from the grove adorning the drive on the way in -...More
