Visitors to Goolwa have a lot of options, with the river, Coorong and the ocean. But one well kept secret the Goolwa Motor Museum is a must do for anyone slightly interested in motor vehicles... There's something for everyone and the collection is amazing!!!

Michael, the owner, has lots of interesting stories of the cars he has owned and people he has known, worth visiting just to hear his past. Only about 30 vehicles on display but well worth the visit to see some very unique cars. A collection of memorabilia and model cars to view as well. Good way to fill in an hour or so.

We visited this car museum whilst staying in Victor Harbor 2 weeks ago & found it to be most interesting, with a great variety of classic/historic cars including some quite rare makes & models to see. The owner, Michael, has plenty of other items for you to look at & admire - lots of model cars, garagemobilia, pictures, photos from the old days, etcetera. I particularly enjoyed the visit, as I soon discovered that Michael had gone to my primary school & his sister, Susan, had been in my class, many long years ago now, but that was rather nice, to be able to catch up with your memories along the way.
Thanks Michael, best wishes, Barbara.

A small but very interesting motor museum - well worth the visit! Engage with the owner Michael Finnis and he will explain his familys history working with cars and stories relating to the cars on display which enhances the experience. Ask him the story about the red Jaguar. A good collection of Chryslers and some very rare cars, some I have not seen before.

The shed looks like nothing from outside, but when you step inside, your eyes light up to the vintage, classic and newer collection from the Finnis family. A small fee to enter, lots of model cars in showcases, posters and photos. The owner is very friendly and loves to tell a story about his collection. Enjoyed looking at the Singer, Valiants, DKW and many more. Had a 1934 BSA Bantam motor cycle.

This museum is in a large shed in the industrial section of Goolwa and appears to be a one man show run by the owner of most of the vehicles. The owner was very friendly and spent a bit of time talking to me about some of his cars which he has collected and restored over many years. Not a flash museum but worth a visit to see some rare cars.
