The owner Michel was very welcome and shared with us his passion and history about cars and the races. He has quite a collection, is impressive. Really worth the visit.

Michael Finnis is passionate about cars. Former racing car driver, his passion is very infectious as he will happily spin stories of years past and his experiences. At the end of a visit, it becomes difficult to decide which was better – the cars or Michael’s reminiscing!

The wide variety of vintage and restored cars are on display in a large shed with a mezzanine floor. Michael gives a personal introduction about the museum as you enter the museum, and then you are free to explore. Information about each vehicle is on display on front of the relevant car. For the young at heart, there is also a wide collection of Matchbox model cars.

With a very nominal entrance fee, the time spent sharing Michael’s passion is well worth it. Whether an avid car fanatic or just someone who can appreciate past cars, you will find the time spent well worth it. Photos are permitted.

Return? It is on the ever growing list and look forward to being mesmerized again by Michael’s yarns!

The owner (Michael), was very welcoming. Michael was happy to share his passion for cars as well as take an interest in my own car history (very modest).
The museum was well set out with not only a good representation of different cars but also much car merchandise and historical references.
The only reason I could not give the museum 5 stars was because of the presentation of some of the cars. No doubt it takes time and money to keep cars presented at their best, however, as a paying customer this is what you want to see. (Some cars were a little bit dusty and had dull paint).
Overall I enjoyed the time spent at the museum and would recommend.

Whether you are interested in cars or not, this is well worth a visit. We were a group of 6, some more interested in cars than others, but all enjoyed and found things of interest. There is a lot of interesting memorabilia.

Nice range of cars both local and overseas from various eras. Even the wife enjoyed them!
Disappointing that a few tyres were flat and the interiors could have done with a dust and one was full of rubbish - small niggle but if you have a collection you are saving it for future generations and need to take care of it.

The Goolwa Motor Museum is centrally located in Goolwa and easy to find.

Anyone at all interested in older model cars will find this well worth visiting. It is well set out and easy to wander round and look at each vehicle. The owner is a real enthusiast and most interesting to chat with.

At the time of our visit it was closed Sunday (except groups by booking) , Monday, Tuesday so suggest checking in case that changes.

This private collection of classic and vintage cars is a privilege to view. Collected over a lifetime by Michael Finnis who is not only a true gentleman but a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all matters relating to cars.

We went in and Mike was very nice and friendly. He has a very kind dog you can play with. There are different types of cars and memorabilia to look at and Mike tells you about a little bit about the history at the start. Lots of cars to look at and you are allowed to take photos. There is an Army Jeep that you are allowed to go in.
