Called into goolwa wharf fir a look, and stopped off at the distillery for a look, just a look. Ended up trying 3 beers, 1 stout, and an amazing whiskey. Atlantic crossing whiskey. Definitely recommend calling in. Fantastic service, great knowledge.

Had overseas visitors. Took them to a few great spots around Goolwa. He is a beer drinker so we went to the Steam Engine. The guy behind the bar was flippant, bit rude and we felt a bit unwelcome. Two of us wanted the light...More

Great atmosphere in what used to be an old train shed. Their IPA and Steam Ale is lovely, great hoppy beers, lovely on a hot day (or any other day for that matter). On this visit I also tried one of their single malts -...More

A great spot for a drink. Includes locally brewed beers, whiskey and gin. If that doesn't work for you then try the local de groote coffee. The whiskey is excellent!

Delicious beers, a great spot at the end of the day. The patio outside is great, and popular! More tables outside would be very welcome! Dog friendly outside, and nice and cool inside the old warehouse. Lots of interesting things to look at inside.

It's an interesting shed... Great beers and atmosphere, there is a small train running inside to amuse my 3 year old...

This excited me when I first saw the building. When I got to the bar it was underwhelming, whisky $15.50 a 30ml nip. First release. A middie in Nsw or schooner in s.a is $7,00 plus but the beer I tasted was nice. Nice location...More

We visited the brewery after a round trip ride on the Cockle Train. There were 4 beers on tap and we sampled each of them. My husband thought the Pale Ale was extremely good. The Southerly Buster, stout and steam Ale all were distinct in...More

This micro brewery is in a converted railway goods shed nestled between the water's edge and the Goolwa railway station. The interior is replete with vats, etc giving it a distinct industrial look. The sign says it "was not made over by marketing stylists", but...More
