It is a big tree
Sep 2021
What else is there to say? ... it's a tree. It's big. It is over 100 years old. It's easy to get to and you can drive right up to it for the obligatory photo. I guess, as tourist 'big things' go, at least it is alive and natural, not some gaudy plastic blob.

Bottle Tree
Aug 2021
The new approach ramp takes away the whole appearance of the tree. A poor decision by council and a very disappointing addition!Tree

Worth a selfie
Apr 2021
Located close to the town centre and direction sign posts clearly guided you to its’ location. Popular spot as we had to wait until some of the other visitors cleared. Information board was interesting and included dinosaurs and the different types of bottle trees. The tree with a 20m crown is 6m high and 9.5m wide!

Amazing tree
Aug 2021
This tree is unique. Its hard to imagine a tree trunk this large. As a tourist attraction it seemed to be a bit exaggerated however we felt that the viewing platform was also about protecting the tree. Interesting Roma attraction which will only take you a few minutes.

Yep, it’s a big bottle tree.

I’ve always had a fascination with bottle tree and Roma’s Famous Bottle Tree is up there with the best. There’s an easy platform to walk on to stand beside the tree for photo opportunities.

Visited on Friday 23rd July. It was still fenced off, you will be able to see it better once the walkway is completed.

A bottle tree that is huge.

As highlighted by the signage, this is a bottle tree and not a boab tree. On our visit the tree was undergoing some addition work to protect it for the future, with council work construction fencing around it.

They are telling the truth. It is big.

Getting there was circuitous but easy enough if you follow the big brown signs. There is no doubt about it. The tree is big. It has a viewing platform and an interesting information board. We saw kids enjoying being in the tree.

Can't get anywhere near the tree due to construction.
Jun 2021
Unfortunately it was completely fenced off as there is a ramp/walking trail being built around the tree.

Big & Old Boab
Jul 2021
Most of the streets in Roma are lined with one hundred year old Boab trees and this one , because of its size must date back longer (18th century was indicated) .It was relocated from a private property in 1927 to its current location. Unfortunately it was cordoned off as they were erecting a viewing platform that sadly removed the abilty to see the base of the tree which is 9.5 M metres in cricumference. The tree is 6 Metres high. One big old Boab tree.
