Located at Big Rig
Apr 2021
Before entering the building check out the Slab Hut Museum which takes you back to the late 1800’s before electricity and gives you an idea of how they lived with the old furnishings. Reception is located at the front entrance of the Big Rig. The ladies were very friendly and helpful.

Roma Visitor Information Center

Visited on Thursday 22nd July. Called in there to get some advice, staff there were chatting to friends and ignored me. So I just grabbed a few brochures and went on my way. Not what I was expecting when I walked in there.

Excellent service
Jul 2021
After arriving into Roma, we sought out information from people we consider know their area. Excellent friendly help was what we received. Thanks for all the information we were given, including Mitchell, Injune and Carnarvon Gorge.

Make you first stop in Roma

Local knowledge is gold and Roma is no exception. Very helpful lady on Saturday afternoon, knowing we were only in town for one night, suggested readily accessible attractions and usual great information. Great range in Gift Shop too.

Oil Industry in Western Queensland

Helpful people. The self guided tout is not as good as the guided tour. A great intro to the oil history of Western Queensland

Just stopped in to see if there was anything else I could do while in Roma. They had plenty of info and things to buy and the lovely lady on the desk was very helpful.

NO ONE THERE TO HELP
Nov 2019 • Couples
The center is good and we strolled around looking for information and the various items fir sale but no one came to assist us. There was a girl out back who we could see was busy, and as we headed to the exit door she called out, can I help you. Too late.

THE MURIEL 18SQ METERS at the Bungil Cultural Center is a must see. Press a button on the wall and a narrative with light highlights tells of the history of Roma.

Great little information center
Oct 2019 • Family
Good place for a quick stop in your travel and if the kids have been restless there is a miniature train ride at the back of the building that covers at least 2 km for only 2$ per person . Staff were very informative and friendly. Also plenty of cold ice blocks for sale and lots of Roma based items for sale !
