Enjoyed this lovely trail with the added bonus of seeing a platypus in the wild. Make sure you download a map before you go as it is a bit confusing at times even though there are some sign posts. Started at the boardwalk near woolworths.

This was an unexpected treat and a highlight of our weekend. From the helpful reviews we walked along the boardwalk next to the small shopping centre next to the Woolworths. Apparently you can see platypus at this spot, but we walked along the concrete section....More

A pretty walk through replanted native rainforest along the week. Part of the walk is boardwalk, partially paved. Information boards along the way. The suggested 1-2 hours is very misleading. My husband and I strolled through here in 15 minutes including reading all the information...More

This walk from the showground into town is so beautiful and peaceful. Often you can see platypus playing the creek. A special treat for caravaners staying at the showground and walking into town

The Obi broadwalk follows the creek in central Maleny. It's a very pleasant walk on a hot day and there are many vantage points to rest and/or survey the creek for wildlife.

They've been working on this walk for what seems like YEARS, and despite a concrete path (how ecofriendly of you!) they have little to show for their efforts as the plantings are so suburban and 'council inspired'. Could have been so much better. Sigh. Don't...More

The boardwalk runs between the Mary River and some shops including a cafe and an Italian restaurant. It is a well-known place to spot platypus, though we have yet to see one.
