Be sure to request a seat so you can look out the right side of the train. The benches hold four and unless you are by the window you probably won't see much. Terrific narration that was very informative but not too obtrusive.

Request window seat when booking. Commentary interesting, informative and kept attention of the 11yr old too. Toilets on board.

Kuranda itself is a tourist trap but a very nice and interesting one. The Scenic Railway is great. You have photo opportunities even when the train is in motion and the scenery is excellent, even when we went at a dry time of year. This...More
