We were rather disappointed with the return journey from Kuranda- the outward journey we had done on Skyrail, which was excellent. Undoubtedly there were a few lovely views but not enough the way we were crowded on so there was virtually no legroom. Much of...More

We opted for Gold class with our family to get the allocated seats instead of queuing up. Carriage was spacious, our host gracious (Maria). Plenty of free flowing drinks (alcohol included) & a selection of pastries & nibbles. Commentary during the journey from an overhead...More

Thank you for the review. The train, made up of carriages 100-years old, is in fact a vintage experience - the entertainment is in large part made up of travelling in vintage refurbished carriages, which are indicative of the time, of enjoying the change of...More

The scenic railway from Freshwater to Kuranda was awesome with wonderful views of the North Queensland coast and the Atherton Tableland. The stop at Barron Falls is thoughtful with enough time to take memorable pictures of the falls.

We took the scenic railway ride as part of a 2 day package. The ride is in an old train which takes you up the mountain. Beautiful sites on the way including Billows Falls
