We called in to find out what was good to see in the area... we were told, nothing much, yes they had lots of brochures, and great displays, but we were a bit appalled by the lack of enthusiasm of there great little town

We visited Chinchilla for the Melon Festival. The town swells to a population of 18000 for the festival and these volunteers greeted visitors with enthusiasm and a smiling face. They were obviously very busy but answered all questions and gave directions with a real passion...More

the people working there are very helpful and informative. more interested in you having a good time than in selling you something. do stop in and have a chat with the ladies if you are passing through town

We stopped in to get some local information and enjoyed the Devonshire teas (great scones). The ladies were extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips on where to go. Very friendly and helpful, well done.

Service in this Information Centre is good. My disappointment was that there were no postcards showing the Melon Festival. Chinchilla is known for its watermelons, so I thought there would be lots of information about melons in this area. But there was none. Just one...More
