I had been looking forward to this for ages and having not been there before didn't know quite what to expect. Advertised as Christmas through the ages. I don't like to be negative but this was boring, unimpressive and totally lacked imagination and information. Items...More

This is a fascinating property, and special in being very 'homely'. The staff and volunteers are very welcoming, informative and friendly. Both house and gardens are interesting and well cared for, and the food and service in the cafe is also very good. Would recommend.

On a sunny/dry day you could spend most of the day there. House is small but beautiful but the grounds are large with walks and ideal for a picnic. Hope that helps 😊
