Driving the route between the Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass is an experience. I have never driven a road like it but oh was it worth it. Returning from Coniston we chose this direct route rather than the roads we have previously travelled when sampling...More

Drove through Hardknott pass with my parents. Even driving as a passenger is scary! But worth it when you reach the top for the spectacular views. Plenty of pass by spots, and can see for miles I'm the distance for on coming cars. There are...More

Can be a challenging drive, very steep and tight corners. But if you look ahead for vehicles coming up or down you can find passing places. The views are stunning and you can see for miles.

Amazing road, great views, tackled from West to East, including Wrynose Pass. Very steep in parts, particularly on the hairpins in the early stage of the climb. Don't forget Hardknott Fort on the way up! Tackled the drive in a Mercedes C200 Sport (do not...More
