Beautiful broadleaf woods
Mar 2020
Like all the woods in the area, this is dominated by the beech trees. Paths are clear and well defined.

A wonderful place to walk
Oct 2019
An extensive area in which to walk and enjoy the flora and fauna as well as the tranquility. Pay a visit when you are in the area.

Lovely woodland with lots of walking trails
Jun 2019 • Friends
I walked through these wonderful woodlands as part of a Chilterns outing and just loved the environment and the feeling of being close to nature without too much human distraction to spoil the experience. It's one of the largest ancient woodlands in the Chilterns. It was once part of a very large common called Wycombe Heath. A herd of cows is still used to manage part of the site today as 'wood pasture', continuing a traditional method used for centuries. The wood has impressive bluebell areas in the spring; red kites and buzzards can often be seen flying overhead and birdsong can be hard everywhere. A hugely enjoyable place to visit.
