It’s old and a large landmark to see when visiting the town centre. It’s a bit decayed and run down, which gives it an interesting look. If you peer way up there is a tree growing on top of one of it’s highest towers

We stopped in Valladolid as a part of our tour to Chichen Itza and Cenote Ik Kil. We went into the church and stopped by some of the souvenir shops.

Very moving place to visit especially since it remains an important part of the community. The paint inside is chipping and there are some parts that are crumbling, but the spirit is still there. The bells in the evening are splendid.

The cathedral looks sensational from outside - it towers above the location and dominates it by its presence. Inside it is relatively plain but its history and years of prayer are keenly felt in the atmosphere. It's a must-see building

Its a must see and can't miss in the city square. Still in use and a great piece of history. Take the time and don't forget to donate.

Stopped on our way back from C Itzu at the recommendation from our guide. Great little city and the church is across from the park. Great history and architecture. Well worth the stop.

This is a lovely church in a colonial town of Valladolid. It is just outside the main town square, surrounded by other colonial buildings. Apparently this town used the building blocks from Mayan ruins to build the structures, including this church. I would dress respectfully,...More

We did a quick tour stop at Vallodolid and visited the Cathedral, very beautiful and ornate. Just across from the park and lots of stores in the area to enjoy. Nice visit for a day trip.

Located right across from the main little city square is this old cathedral. Its not as big and ornate as European cathedrals - but its charm is in its simplicity. On the outside it is a bit drab...but the story is that the cathedral was...More
