Akumal Bay is supposed to be the calmest most beautiful place to swim with sea turtles. It is great that we did this on a tour because had we not, the ability to get through the gauntlet to gain entry would be difficult at best....More

We came early in the morning (around 8), snuck in through the dive shop and walked down the beach. The markers for snorkeling in the first 200 yards were a little confusing for us so we opted to walk a little further and went in...More

Pampered from dusk to dawn. So much to do. Water fitness, yoga, great shopping. A variety of shows. Saw a tribute to Abba and Elvis. Very accommodating and friendly staff.

Very clean and beautiful beach. Although we didn't see any turtles, we loved Akumal. What a great place for families!

We stayed at Half Moon Bay, the next bay over from Akumal Bay. So not sure about transportation, etc. We rented a golf cart and headed over from our condo. We had rented the golf cart from the hotel, so we were able to simply...More
