In Patzcuaro, this uphill walk is called El Estribo, and as others have said, it is easy to find the main rocky road. When we travel, we like to workout to get a dose of daily exercise, and in Patzcuaro, El Estribo is an outstanding...More

It‘s a nice walk up... you can also drive but walking is a good exercise. The view over the lake and the valley is nice, also to see Pátzcuaro from the Top. If you do the stairs, you will have a nice view over Patzcuaro...More

The volcano know as the Estribo offers spectacular views of Lake Patzcuaro and the surrounding area. There is a new road to the top. Once there you can hike and even climb the steps to the very top of the mountain. Recommended.

This is a great hike up to the observation point, maybe 3 miles from town (just a guess) and uphill most of the way. I walked Calle Ibarra to the west from town, through poor and middle class neighborhoods. Just keep heading uphill. This route...More

I love Patzcuaro but needed a 'country' fix and this did it. The other reviews are right just follow Ponce de Leon (runs next to the main Plaza) and it will cross the highway. Take any road that goes 'up' and it will the the...More

This attraction is easy to get to and you can take an easy hike or drive to the top. The view from the top is incredible and you can explore the area or just sit and view.

It's a little difficult. You have to walk a lot or you can pay a taxi to take you to the top. I live near from there. I can help you whenever you want :)

No hay tours públicos a este lugar. Puedes pagar a un guía privado pero son algo caros. Te recomiendo venir en grupo y contratar a un guía privado para que te resulte más barato. Saludos.
