Lori and Jason took 6 of us (including 3 kids) on a boat tour. From the very first point of contact to the last picture with the captain, our experience with Seas the Day was fantastic! Communication was clear, friendly, and prompt. We had booked to go on a day when the weather was really not in our favor and because of flight cancellations or booked time was also not ideal anymore. I was so thankful that Lori offered to go out on a different day instead. It was still foggy on the day of our tour but Jason easily took us to a magnificent iceberg (and patiently helped us navigate the waters to harvest bits of ice berg that we were able to take home after the tour!) other amazing sights. Lori was so friendly and lovely to visit with. We appreciated that she took many pictures for us! We appreciated the feel of a smaller boat (it provided a very personalized tour!) and we felt very safe. The boat was very gentle in the water (we've had rough experiences with zodiacs so we loved how gentle this was) - it lulled our 5 year olds twins to sleep (Lori had brought blankets to wrap them in nice and warm)! We have amazing memories of our time with you - thank you Lori and Jason @ Seas the Day!!

I highly recommend Seas the Day Boat Tour. We booked a 4 pm tour and got a call from them a couple hours before to give us a heads up that they hadn't seen any whales for a couple of days and gave us the option to cancel our booking if that's what we were hoping for. I certainly appreciated their honesty and offer but we didn't cancel and what a 2 hours it turned out to be. Whales, porpoises, numerous kinds of seabirds and we jigged a dandy cod fish! The owners kindly filleted and packaged the fish for us. Highlight of our trip to beautiful Bonavista.

My tour was a highlight in my visit to Bonavista, even those the boat tour had to be cancelled due to the water conditions. It wasn't safe to go out.
I didn't have wifi reception in Bonavista so Lori wasn't able to communicate the cancellation. When we met up, she offered to drive me out to the cape and then offered to come back an hour later to pick me up! She then drove me along the coast, which became a personal tour by land!
Lori is generous, accommodating, and hospitable. I learned a lot as she provided information about the natural environment and the region. It was a pleasure spending several hours with her. I will always remember her generosity and her rich local knowledge of Bonavista that she shared with me. I felt that I got a true "Newfoundland" experience and many ways and I would highly recommend checking out Seas The Day Tours!

Lori and Jason are wonderful people, the most friendly and accommodating tour guides we could hope for. When our original booking was cancelled due to bad weather, Lori was honest and said she wouldn't just take us out when there was nothing to see. She kept in touch every day with an update on the weather and got us out on the water for the best trip ever. So many whales it was hard to know where to look first, plus a demonstration of jigging for cod. This is definitely the boat tour you should do in Bonavista.

Jason and Lori are incredible. The weather was not cooperating for us, we had to cancel our fishing trip yesterday morning. Later in the afternoon Lori called and said the wind and waves had improved and we could go out if we wanted to. Within thirty minutes we were on the boat. Just outside the harbor we saw a cow and calf humpback breaching. Jason started trying his favorite fishing spots. After five or six spots we finally found fish. Within twenty minutes we had our limit. They filleted our fish and put them in the freezer for us to pick up when we leave Bonavista. They are brother and sister team that will do anything for you. I can not say enough about how they treat their customers.

Simply one of the best experiences we had on our 3 week visit to Newfoundland. You will not meet nicer hosts (Lori and Jason) who treat you more like friends than clients! Lori kept in constant touch over the course of the previous week of our visit to make sure the weather was right and our experience (to see an iceberg) would meet our expectations. We had an amazing time on this smaller vessel and, our only regret was not staying over for the night so we could enjoy more time with these great people! Enjoy - you will love it!

Seas The Day Boat Tours exceeded my expectations. Lori and Jason were down to earth and so welcoming. Both were very knowledgeable and were happy to be keeping the legacy of their Dad's alive.
We arrived early for our morning outing and they were already getting the boat ready so we got out ahead of schedule. We caught our limit of 15 cod in an hour so they took us by where puffins were and then helped us snag some iceberg ice! We also got to watch them filet the fish. My friend Denise was really wanting to learn to filet a cod so they taught her how.
They packaged the cod filets up for us and would have frozen them for us but unfortunately we were leaving town after the fishing trip.
Truly was an awesome experience and Lori never tired of our questions. I will definitely book with them again if I return to Bonavista. I highly recommend them

Lori and Jason were fantastic and provided a great tour, even though we came out before peak whale season. I accidentally purchased an extra ticket and Lori kindly refunded us. She communicated with us about weather conditions the day of and ensured a safe ride with fitting us for lifejackets. We saw the beautiful coast of Bonavista and had some unique looks at puffins, which was the main thing we wanted to see! The views of the lighthouse were great too. Highly recommend if you're visiting the area. Lori was such a fun host and shared lots of great information about the area!

Really incredible experience! I went in May so I knew it was too early for whales but really wanted to see an iceberg up close. Lori was a great host and made sure everyone had a great time and got all the pictures they wanted. It was such an individualized experience and I would definitely go again!

What an enjoyable and exciting couple of hours out on the water jigging for cod!! My husband and I had another couple of friends with us. They were from Brazil and they want to go again next year. Guess what we had for supper that evening? You’re right! We had fresh fish caught that very day by us. (YUM)

Our Captain Jason was so helpful - he gladly helped us land the fish. Lori joined us -laughing heartily with us as we excitedly knew we had a fish on our hook. She also took pictures for us. Thanks Jason and Lori for such a memorable experience!
