Nice little bit of knowledge. We had a 7yr old with us, and was given a scavenger hunt list to LEARN as you go thru the museum and she LOVED it. Cheaper form of entertainment.

Great exhibits highlighting Eastern Carolina's estuaries, including their animal life and artifacts of the people who have lived here. The River Roving boat trips are an excellent introduction to the local Pamlico/Tar River waterways.

Great opportunity to visit an environmental review of the Beaufort County area Waterway system. Well-designed, well-developed and of great interest. If the timing is right you can also take a free pontoon boat ride around the area through the estuarium.
