I've been here a few times but recently took some kids of varying ages to "Built for Speed". Areas were allocated for children of all ages and the staff and design was well thought out facilitating the school holiday chaos. I've enjoyed quieter exhibits here...More

Visited yesterday ... art? What art? Barely 10 paintings and a few cultural artefacts. The gallery was overrun with children and so noisy you could not hear yourself think. To say that it is a children's gallery ... what is the point of using Ipswich's...More

Great little gallery, always has interesting, and sometimes outstanding exhibitions, very well curated. Good layout, and does fabulous kids' stuff in the holidays.

For kids exhibitions, this place is a must. We live in Brisbane and regularly go to this gallery when there is a new show. Plenty of cheap street parking nearby, cafe next door (guys $5 beers!) and lots of other food options at the top/arty...More

Ipswich art gallery has a dedicated kids gallery with fun art based activities that regularly change. Many are free too.

During non school holiday periods the art gallery is a good place to go and check out some during school holidays when they put on one of the exhibits for the kids it's a great place for families to go relax and have some fun...More
