Been to many zoos over the years and my 2 highlights were being able to feed the zebras and seeing the lions. Came during Winter but Summer would be extremely hot. Only 2 toilets. (getting upgraded)

Lovely zoo. Large variety of animals. You get close up to the animals and get to feed most of them for a small fee which my 1 and 3 year old loved. Great day out with the family. Staff are very friendly.

A phenomenal zoo that is a refreshing change from its overpriced, and commercialised competitors. A fantastic team, with a wealth of knowledge and a clear passion and dedication. This zoo showcases an incredible array of species, unprecedented to other zoological institutions in Queensland. Some highlights...More

This zoo is the perfect size to stroll through with plenty of wildlife to admire and feed. It’s not undercover so go early or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat or come prepared. They had sunscreen and hand sanitizer available to use at the...More

Surprising range of animals including meerkats, lion family, tiger and more in a peaceful rural setting. Informative guide talks and possible to even handfeed zebras. Lovely day in an environment not overwhelmed with concrete, shrubbery, souvenirs, and sleeping australian native animals (you know what I...More

Went there at opening time on Tuesday March 20th. It was a hot sunny day and there is hardly any shade, most animals were out of site. Long hot walk for toddlers and elderly to find some animals hidden away. Currumbin sanctuary at Gold Coast...More

A zoo is meant to be a happy place, but this was not a happy place for animals, visitors or even staff working. It was extremely hot and miserable. Although the campus is large, animals are confined with little shade or amusement. The Zoo appears...More

We drove to the area to see the sunflowers and found the zoo by accident. What a lovely surprise. We arrived just prior to lunch and it was very hot and quiet. The kids had a great time. The staff was very interactive and helpful....More

Definitely not! The zebras will eat food you buy at the zoo as well. But No WAY can you feed the lions or the tigers.
