While it's obviously not a tourist beach, it is still a lovely location. You will never regret an afternoon spent on Baybay beach. The sun, the water, and the breeze are lovely. This is a great place to watch the sunset before dinner.

The beach is lined with lovely local restaurants with good food and a great atmosphere. The locals are friendly and very helpful.

Probably the best thing about Baybay is its location. Walk off the beach, and you will find a line of tricycles waiting to take you to your next location.

No visit to Roxas city is complete without spending time at Baybay.

The restaurant showcases the seafood delicacies. Fresh and delicious at its best!
a stroll along the shore helps relieve the stress and the see breeze has a soothing effects.
Good to visit during summer or December .

There’s no wrong or right here. Just go pick a restaurant cos everything is Filipino cuisine, grilled seafood mostly. Sit by the beach side and feel the cool breeze of the sea while you dine in. Just beware of the high sidewalk when you finish eating. Got into an accident outside one restaurant where I slipped and scraped my legs.

Just a few minutes ride from the airport is the Roxas City beach. Its fine, black sand is good to trod on barefoot. If you just want to feel the breeze and hear the soft waves, this is the place to be. You can order fresh seafood in the nearby stalls and restaurants if you want something to satisfy your stomach. Some are open very early in the morning to cater joggers and those arriving from an early morning flight.

Stayed at the San Antonio Resort, just across the street from BayBay Beach. Wonderful beach area very quiet the mid week days we were there. Good picnic facilities just off the beach tables and huts. Great stroll down the beach toward Peoples Park. Good restaurants and cafes just down the street.

I was expecting Baybay beach with plenty of seafood food carts as Roxas was tagged seafood capital of Philippines. Yes there were food carts in Baybay beach (along People park) but selling fried fish balls, sausages, pork and chicken bbq.. Walk along the street next to Baybay beach, you’ll find restaurants. You pick your chosen seafood and they will cook for you. But sad to say, it is EXPENSIVE. Known for being seafood capital of the Philippines, the seafood here should be anywhere and cheaper! Also, don’t stay late cos the streets here doesn’t have proper lightings. You’ll end up walking in darkness while vehicles runs so fast.

There are plenty restaurants along the beach, but they open just late afternoon. I'm missing cafe bars with beachside terraces.

I had read mixed reviews about Baybay. Based on the most recent positive reviews we booked a 5 day stay at the San Antonio resort and were very excited to visit the so-called Seafood Capital. I struggle to describe my state of shock at what we encountered on the beach. A slew of plastic garbage everyday, which very clearly originates from the droves of Filipino visitors and the many small restaurants along the beach. We collected garbage to make ourselves feel better for inadvertently becoming participant in this unchecked environmental damage by collecting garbage on the beach. Baby diapers, straws, broken plastic plates and utensils from the restaurant, huge plastic bags, plastic bottles, sweet wrappers and popped baloons, all telling the story of unchecked single use plastic abuse. A telling inditement was the plastic bottle I picked up, filled with seashells. It had been in the ocean sucking up marine life. Duterte closed Boracay for 6 months, yet Roxas just contributes unchecked to the environmental destruction. It makes no sense. As to the restaurants along the beach, we forced ourselves to visit as we had come all the way from South Africa. The seafood is not iced, cold storage is nowhere to be seen, it is grubby and the chairs and tables of the highly recommended Coco Veranda, are filthy. How could I recommend that any environmentally responsible global citizen visit Roxas? A sad and dreadful experience.

Contrary to the reviews I encountered before visiting this beach, found this remarkably clean (perhaps they were responding to the initial criticism?). Saw locals cleaning the beach several times during the day. Very impressed!

Stayed here for an hour before eating dinner in a restaurant along Baybay. Sat there and let the kids play and run. Good place to relax and enjoy the sea.
