It's my second time to visit this ecopark in Sagay and it still considerably satisfied me and all my friends. We rented a raft for Php 1,800 and pre-ordered lunch for Php 300 per head. We had some mussels, shrimps, oysters, fish stew and grilled fish, which we consumed with much pleasure during the cruise. The sights along the Palina estuary were very relaxing. We loved the breeze and the massage and pedicure services, too. The tour was so well organized and the staff members were all very friendly. Keep up the good work! :D

We wanted to try this new place but all the posted contact detail numbers do not work/unreachable so we could not order or book ahead as recommended.. We just went directly and found out they have new numbers as well as ordered whatever is available only. Interesting to note the objective of the park and the efforts are noteworthy to stop illegal works. Enjoyed the 1 hour cruise in a nice cool breeze. The staff are accommodating, appreciated the good service.

It is a good place to have picnic with many trees, a good air to breathe, and a good spot for having a famiy vacation. In which there are people more around you, and swimming pools to dive in and swim. So much cool.

The river cruise was very relaxing, quite calming, especially coming out of an early morning flight from Manila to Roxas.

Everyone was sincerely friendly which further created an atmosphere of quiet respite and tranquility.

Raving about the delectable food and how they’re cooked in such an eclectic manner - fresh and simple, uncomplex

A nice slow ride through the water. We brought our own food which kept the costs down. It is about a 1.5 hour ride through a fishing village, some nice views. The only negative is that you keep getting the smell of gas in your face from the boat that is pulling you. Good to do once while in Roxas

It was semestral break and a friend of mine, who's from Capiz, invited me and some other friends of ours to come over for a day visit. We were then based in Iloilo City and Capiz was only a two hour and a half drive. After passing by his house, we went to Palina Greenbelt Ecopark, got on a "floating restaurant" and started our slow and quiet cruise along the placid Palina River. It was one of the most relaxing river cruise I've ever tried. Lunch of fresh sea foods was served on the raft, occasionally we would jump into the river for a quick dip, or simply sit on the bamboo benches to enjoy the breeze.

Each "floating restaurant" (which was actually a big bamboo raft) was equipped with tables and benches. It even had its own rest room! Aside from our group, some women joined us on board to provide us with massage and manicure and pedicure services during our cruise. The two-hour river cruise cost only 1500 pesos. The sea foods lunch, of course, was paid separately. For a group of 6-10pax I think we paid, all in (cruise + foods), only around 7000 pesos, which is not really expensive. Be sure to make your reservation ahead of time since the bamboo rafts are limited in number and they can get all booked during peak season.

Palina Greenbelt Ecopark is located in Brgy. Cagay in Sitio Cablatan (near Roxas City). During the cruise you'll have a chance to see mangroves, observe the flora and the fauna in the ecopark, relax and eat your heart out! It was a really good get-away from the city and a very nice to show your support for the preservation of the environment. Highly recommendable!

Booked the day before so you can pick which food you would want during your river excursion. Very cheap. We also had the foot spa and body massage. All in all (food, massage, river excursion) we only spent about a $100 (maybe less) and that's for 5 people. Highly recommended.

A symbolic way to end the vacation season, far from stress, work, and the noise of the metro. A time for some reflection.

We rode a tricycle from Roxas City and traveled around 30 minutes to the Cagay Village. The place had few people which I think was good. Our tour guide, a young local girl was very courteous and she really did her best to have us informed about the place including the lifestyle of the people. The boat ride took about another half hour where we got to see the mangrove as well as the rest of the lagoon and the villages nearby. Overall, I thought the entire ride was worth it, and I'm thankful that the local government has made this effort to help out the locals by establishing this ecopark project. Should you visit Roxas City, I would definitely recommend this place. It connects you with the environment but also with the people, and make you see life from a different perspective.
