This museum had an interesting range of exhibits about Tibetan medicine. I didn't know much before my visit and found the different displays interesting, especially the tangkas (paintings) depicting different treatments, illnesses and anatomy. There is a very long tangka on the second floor that...More

I enjoyed this museum much more than I expected after reading the reviews. It contains the longest thanka ever made---680 meters of beautiful, detailed painting complimented by silk appliqué borders. There wasn't much detail in English about the various exhibits, but still interesting. Definitely can...More

The top floor is where the Thangka is and was very interesting to see! 1st floor is all about Tibetan medicine and the basement goes over Tibetan culture. Would definitely recommend coming here if you are in Xining.
