People here are so lucky to have this great network and being able to get away from traffic when biking, walking, running. Varied scenery. Plus part of it is on the East Coast Greenway, a 3,000-mile route from the Canadian border in eastern Maine all...More

Miles and miles of paved trails make this an excellent recreational opportunity for bikers, runners and walkers. Plus, the greenway is appropriate for people of all skill levels. My only real complaint is the same complaint of runners everywhere--don't play your personal music so loud...More

This greenway is really good. If you are visiting Raleigh and you love to be outdoors without traffic, figure out a way to stay near enough to the greenway to utilize it. There are bike and kayak rentals too. Or walk or run. Every city...More

Add an extra 3 to the base of 35, if you park at the art museum. This trail is a part of the Raleigh loop which is 95% greenway. You will go under tons of 4-6 lane highway, train tracks, and along several of the...More

My husband and I took a very long walk on the Capital Area Greenway, beginning at the Neuse River Trailhead this week. We have walked along other greenways before, but this was our first trip to this particular location. The entrance into the parking lot...More

The Raleigh greenways are awesome for so many things, but I've used them for marathon training, leisurely bikerides, geocaching, and commuting. The paths are paved, and while there are some hills, it's easy to navigate. Plus they keep opening up more areas of greenway, so...More
