We stopped on our way from Asheville to Charlotte and it made for a perfect morning break. The hike to the falls is well marked and takes about 45 minutes each way. The falls are tall and multi-tiered, well worth the hike.

This is not a complicated or difficult trail. It's only about 2 miles total in and out and you're mostly walking on a forestry road. Good hike though because you're walking along a mountain stream almost the whole time. By the time you get to...More

It’s a relatively simple hike with a well kept trail that leads to some beautiful waterfalls. I recommend shoes that can get wet, because you do cross through the creek at one point. I was glad I’d brought trekking poles because to get up to...More

Easy walk but watch the weather because it moves in fast around here. Beautiful falls and cold! I wish I had brought regular walking shoes and carried my surf shoes.

We stopped by with some friends to walk the trail. It was an easy mile or so up to the falls. It was very busy when we went, but still pretty. Opportunities to go check out the river with little side tracks. Someone was there...More

Wonderful hike! Close to Asheville compared to all the hikes in the area, an easy hike good for anyone at any level, and wonderful waterfalls. We were 2 adults and a dog, and it was an easy hike that took us 2 hours round trip....More

Excuse me, not swim swim, but you can play in some of the water areas. I plan to get in water....even if it's just sitting or my legs.

Yes, there is a parking lot and directional signage and info about the trail (and bathrooms). Dogs are allowed on a leash and it is easy enough for a dog to walk it.
