Wonderful hike! Close to Asheville compared to all the hikes in the area, an easy hike good for anyone at any level, and wonderful waterfalls. We were 2 adults and a dog, and it was an easy hike that took us 2 hours round trip....More

When in western North Carolina take a break and hike the mile and a half to check out this natural cascading 90 foot water fall. Although the hike “to” is up hill, it is not overwhelming for the over 55 crowd. Take your time and...More

Overcast day, but spectacular falls. Easy hike on a well maintained path with nice trails to more secluded areas. Bathrooms are poor and would be nice to have a picnic table or two.

It was a bit difficult to find - for some reason our rental car’s navigation system didn’t like the address. Could have just been a “skinware” problem. So glad that we made the effort to find it. Plenty of parking. Trail is very well marked....More

Good parking, easy to moderate hike with some uphill and rock hopping over water. Falls are beautiful and if warm enough you can take your shoes off and cool off a bit. A little crowded, but not bad (was there early April - spring break...More

We enjoyed the hike up to the falls which were beautiful! The trail is a packed trail and some places were a bit harder and uneven--including crossing a stream on large rocks. But overall it wasn't a difficult hike at all. My only suggestion would...More

Five of us hiked the Catawba Falls on Wednesday. The hike is easy, but allow time to wander off to the side paths and climb some of the rocks. It can be muddy, especially during a wet spring. We arrived by 9:30, before most of...More

Yes! You can swim in the water areas. Next time I plan to take water shoes and a towel.

Yes, there is a parking lot and directional signage and info about the trail (and bathrooms). Dogs are allowed on a leash and it is easy enough for a dog to walk it.
