A moving sand dune! Yes it's never the same. You can visit year after year and be amazed with it's new shape. You will come back year after year only to discover the new shapes this natural beauty takes on.

Our trip to Jockey's Ridge State Park was amazing despite the cool temperatures. We climbed to the top of the dune and it was well-worth the effort. We also found the park staff to be extremely helpful and informative about the park and the area...More

This is a beautiful area. We took hang gliding lessons from Kitty Hawk Adventures. You don't have to worry about not taking off at first as you'll just land in the soft sand. The views are spectacular.

State park is wonderful. Staff was pleasant an knowledegable. I was amazed that the flight school (not part of the park but in the same building) is only closed 3 days out of the year. Very interesting.
