This is a nice little Park, with a marina that offers Lake tours, a visitor center, sports fields, and a small Garden Walk. They do not allow overnight parking.

Beautiful area! Plenty of things to do within a short drive. Asheville and Hendersonville as well as flat rock are close... the trees were amazing!

Morse park is a good place to walk around
Apr 2019 • Couples
Morse park is a good place to walk around with beautiful views of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. The park adjoins the Lake Lure Marina were the tour boats depart. Also the Lake Lure Marina has a large variety of kayaks, canoes, hydrobikes, paddle boats, electric boats, and pontoon boats available for hourly. This area is a really nice spot for taking pictures.

Must see trip if in Asheville area

The area is beautiful. We were here for about 2 hours. TONS of parking. The flowering bridge nearby, the nice short trails you could walk around, and the visitor center with a mini museum. We didn’t go but there is a boat tour as well. Plenty of bathrooms around. You could easily spend 3 to 4 hours in this area of Lake Lure if you added in the boat tour and a meal. A short walk away down the wooden bridge is the town with lots of places to eat and ice cream. This is a day trip destination from Asheville and honestly in my opinion it is a must-see. What with Chimney Rock a mile away you can't beat the fun out there.

Always Stop Here

I love Morse Park! I have many fond memories here. It is beautiful in and of itselt but the surrounding views will take you breath away. It is extremely well maintained with many flowers, trees, and dedications throughtout. Beautiful benches dot the park for your enjoyment but they are spaced out for a little privacy. A beautiful gazebo is the center piece. It is surrounded by gorgeous Lake Lure! Love this park!

Beautiful park / dog friendly

There is a beautiful walking trail about 3/4 mile at the back of the parking area at this little park. It provides great views of lake lure along with many beautiful plants. Our dog enjoyed the walk along with a swim in the lake.

Flat, beautiful area to walk with paved walking trail when in Lake Lure
Jul 2018 • Family
The Town of Lake Lure recently paved most of the gravel areas in Morse Park. If you enter just to the left of the Marina, you can do a nice loop, looking up at the incredible mountains and (hopefully) deep blue sky in the background. I have taught my son how to ride a bike in the field here, as it's safe to fall in the soft grass. Now he's good to go on the trail! It's not really long or straight enough if you are a serious cyclist, but for my 8 yo son, it's perfect. There are several good fishing spots just off of the paved trail as well....just be careful when casting if you are close to the trail.

Not Really a Park
Jul 2018
This is an area by Lake Lure but it does not have the amenities of a true park .
It is a lovely walking path you can take by the lake .
You have a view of the mountains and the lake at the same time .
They have benches to sit on and people even take chairs down to the bank and fish .
There is a gazebo where many people get married .
There is no playground or anything that speaks park to me .
Its right at the marina where you can rent pontoons .
I would describe it as a lovely walking path and nothing more .
