Very well done, free, and informative.Excellent way to understand small town Appalachia in older eras. A good spot to visit with children.Staff was knowledgeable.

Very interesting place to visit. Located in the 1904 court house. The curator was very interesting and knowledgeable about the artifacts in the museum. There is a diorama of the Virginia creeper, it was so lifelike. Also much information on their ore knob mine. Currently...More

If you like architecture, the old courthouse is worth a visit all by itself. It contains a small museum that gives visitors a sense of the area in by-gone days.

We took our 3 grandchildren for a visit and really enjoyed it. The exhibits are really interesting and well done. Lots of local history and very interesting memorabilia in the exhibits. Well worth the trip.

This is an old courthouse turned museum with wonderful displays downstairs plus a very nice gift shop. We have been back twice and still have not seen it all. This is not that big but we have not had enough time each visit to see...More

Nice building, interesting exhibits, good graphics. Staff seemed a bit preoccupied. It was a good way to spend a hour while waiting for an appointment.
