This was a neat thing to see. It was working the day we were there, except for the fountain. After many visits to Charlotte, I had no idea it was there. Would visit Metalmorphosis again.

It's located in a business park south of uptown and the airport so does require driving a little off the beaten path. Not a must see stop but is rather cool and better in person.

We found this sculpture after reading about it and when we got there it was not working. It was fun to image what it did and watched it on YouTube instead.

The head seemed to be broken. It didn't move the entire time we were there. We took some pictures but it wasn't the same.

Interesting piece. Wish the jaw section was properly working. Jaw was stationary and would not complete the head. I like the business Park location and easy parking. We saw two other groups with cameras and various individuals. Been there now.

Get your camera and video ready! Great 15-30monite stop. No hiking. You can pull over or park. I went on a rainy day. Love all these interesting details in this town.

A friend found this while surfing for interesting architecture in Charlotte. Glad we stopped by! If you have the chance you should see for yourself.

The whole industry compound is super neat and clean. Not typically touristy at all. And this sculpture is truly amazing to look at, and it just tells you a lot while it rotating and reforming itself. Inspiration from metamorphosis by Kafka. Everyone shall take a...More

A truly impressive sculpture by artist David Cerny. We are familiar with his many sculptures in Prague so it is a treat to see his work in Charlotte. Reminiscent of Cerny’s Kafka’s head sculpture in Prague which was installed after this one. The sculpture was...More

The sculpture has a Facebook page and, as of today, it says "We're still working on getting him back to full working order". It doesn't say when work will be completed.
