Well, I may be prejudiced, but I loved what downtown Chapel Hill added to our college experience when we were students there. So happy it still has some of the same old businesses & even movie theaters, but it has grown so much more now....More

Franklin Street is best visited on foot on weekends or during semester breaks unless you’re looking for endless mobs of people. Lots of one-of-a-kind restaurants and bars offer something for everyone. Parking in the nearby neighborhoods can be difficult to find.

I love Franklin St./downtown Chapel Hill. You can walk everywhere. The food/restaurant choices are endless. Nice shops. Plenty of drinking establishments.

We spent some time walking and eating here. The mood was lively and there were a host of choices there. Very nice area by a college and enjoyable.

Franklin Street is full of cool shops and restaurants. If you want to experience true Tar Heel culture come here after a very big win and join the crowd, or just come here anytime! Franklin Street is the best!

No visit to Chapel Hill and UNC is complete without strolling down Franklin lane. Nostalgic for Carolina alums, but it is also the heart of the university. Stroll there at different times of the day for different vibes!
