A nice snippet of history retained in the homestead and extensive gardens. May appeal more to older visitors. Good to visit in spring with all the masses of blooms throughout the gardens. While not amazing, it is a pleasant way to absorb a little more...More
Check opening times before going. A very interesting tour of the house and gardens, all lovingly looked after by volunteers and well worth the look into our past history.
The gardens would be best in late Spring.
This is lovely. Run really well, lots of info available. Clean, tidy, great volunteers. So lovely to see this home still looking nearly as it did when family lived there. Gardens are beautiful. Would visit again and highly recommend for all ages. well done

Buda has its early 20th century art deco pieces still in place. Made by the talented women in the family the decorative metalwork, embroidery, painting and furniture is a treat. A smallish home packed with beautiful artwork leaves you saturated in the art deco period....More

Sorry I've been away and didn't see your question in time. But if you're there now and checking TripAdvisor, then the answer is 'yes' it's worth a visit. This was the home of an extremely interesting family and the presentation is great. I can't remember the cost, but I don't think it was high.
