More
The Lannoye family bought its first property in the Bordeaux region in 2001. The family owns two properties in Puisseguin-Saint Emilion and in Castillon-Cote de Bordeaux. They now wish to fully invest in the development of wine tourism in Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret. Acquired in 2007, Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret is a small property of 5 hectares, located in Saint-Emilion. It benefits from the appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Built in 1814, the Chateau was recently renovated. Its tower makes the castle very easy to recognize.

Well, the wine was good, and reasonably priced. We were able to compare the wine with a Lurton chateau in about the same neighbourhood, which didn't reach the price/quality of Ambe Tour Pourret by far. However, it's a matter of taste, and our taste prefers...More

As it turned out we were the only 2 people on the tour and took that opportunity to ask as many questions as possible and learn all we wanted to know about this vineyard.

So much fun and educational! And, even with me doing the cooking, the food was delicious. Of course I'm sure the sparkling wine we enjoyed while cooking helped!
