A must try before leaving St.Emilion, the macarons are lovely and the history about them amazing! Created by the monks in 1620 and the recipe has just been passed down for many, many, many years simply amazing. We also picked up some chocolate covered golden...More

These macaroons are the original macaroons that were made by the monks many centuries ago. The original recipe has been passed down through the ages and this is the only macaroon factory where you can get the real deal. And they make them fresh every...More

I purchased some sweets from here to take home. They were very expensive for what they were but I treated myself. When I opened them they were stale. They were a kind of wafer which should have been crisp but they were like cardboard. Obviously...More

You cannot leave Saint Emilion without trying Les Macarons de Nadia Fermigier, not the traditional Paris Macarons. They are incredible.

Ask for a traditional macarron. It is very good biscuit, prepared according to an ancient recipe. Is a macarron without filling. Worth a try.

Cute little store in St Emillion, caneles were delicious, macarons were traditional and quite yum but also quite different to those seen in most stores today. Would recommend for something different.

Delicious and elegant. Apparently authentic, based on the original 17th century recipe. Viking buys them at this shop to parcel out, one to a customer, with an explanation, back on the boat. A cookie as a cultural experience. Good idea.

Macaron lovers used to the colorful concoctions gracing many shops across France may be disappointed by the plain golden shade of these macarons. But the taste is unbelievable. Apparently, the same recipe has been used since 1620. They were originally made by an old order...More

this is an awesome macarons place. Forget wine in saint emillion, it is all about macarons. Ate it all, two boxes, traditional ones, and the ones with chocolate are super nice too! eat it fresh, so nice.

Mmmm, the best macaroons ever. Such a delicious, delicate almond flavour. We bought them with a chocolate layer in between two - divine.
