Wonderful county site for nature walks, picnics and hikes! I has asked about paddling and there is a canoe launch site just before the entrance. Here it looks like a nice Stillwater paddle on a creek but I'd suggest spring. We walked all the trails...More

Best place to watch bald eagle in NY, from nest to the sky. We went there in early August, the center is almost empty, really enjoyable. Bugs are not a problem at all, we spay deep woods OFF on ankles and neck, and Permethrin on...More

One of the best little nature preserves in upstate New York. Joins Montezuma as one of our real favorites. Not as well-know, perhaps, but that's fine because here you can find the quietude of nature. Diverse ecosystem, from marshes, meadows, woodlands and the shore. Beautiful.
