The church and cemetery are brimming with history. Tourists may not go out of their way to see it if not for Washington Irving. It is interesting, but don't lose your head.

What an incredible historic place dating back to 1640. Graves of soldiers from Revolution,Civil 1812 and Spanish American wars. Worth the boat for sure. Beware of the Headless horseman.

It was a beautiful day at the end of October to walk around the Old Dutch Church and the cemetery. There were many interesting gravestones and the employees were there to answer questions.

It is a seasonal event but the church and graveyard are open. Jonathan Kruk is the performer and has other storytelling events around NY and Westchester County. Check it out on Facebook.
