Beautiful lake, you can see right down to the bottom in most places. There is a small swimming area with lifeguards and docks. The were even skimming the swimming area and docking area to get any seaweed that happened to float in.

The lake is in a premier section of the finger lakes, with alot of history and very wealthy people. The houses and boats display that well

Beautiful but no sand and difficult to get into. There are swimming access zones, but you have to pay $5 per person for access. There are life guards, but they are completely useless because they sit away from the water on their cell phones the...More

Spend a few minutes walking down the pier to get a nice view of Skaneateles. The water is a beautiful blue. You can relax while watching the boats come in and out.

We were at the lake for dinner and walked out on the pier. The water was SO CLEAR that we could see hundreds of fish swimming around. Would like to go back a little later in the year when it is warmer.

I spent two periods sitting by this lake a week ago. Both days were sunny. The water looks like something out of the Caribbean it is so clear!

This lake is so pretty. It offers a great green area for sitting and watching the boats and paddle boats. The village of Skaneatlas offers a lot to do and see.

As others have pointed out there doesn't appear to be a concession for the rental of beach chairs. Most chairs in evidence on our visit were clearly part of a 'personal collection' taken to the park for a family outing.

Everyone has answered the parking question. Sherwood Inn is nice for lunch also and you can sit on the porch and view the lake. They have a tavern menu also. I don't think the boats are running now, but check with them... More
