Stayed one night. Check in was smooth, arrived at 4:30 so room was ready to go. Hotel has nice appointments with a horse-themed decor (this is Saratoga). Colors throughout are browns and taupes, the overall vibe is very relaxed.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, king bed overlooking the parking lot. The room itself was a good size, with a small fridge and safe in the dresser under the TV. The bathroom was a good size, the toilet was separated by a wall from the rest of the space but no door. Also, no vent fan? Lighting is a bit dim, and a single sink vanity. The only item we noted for maintenance was the towel hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing. Shower stall was nice and the water was hot. The bed was comfortable, but no additional blankets in the closet. Possible we could have asked for one, but as it was just one night we made do. Everything was clean and fresh feeling.

What the hotel lacks is amenities. Yes, it is attached to a casino….but that is its own entity. My wife and I were up at 7am. Nothing is open. Pool is closed (and the pool and hot tub are quite nice, as was the fitness room). Hungry for breakfast? Need a good cup of coffee? Well all that is available is a small 24 self service store. Coffee was not all that bad, but really? The room was over $250for the night. No room service. No in house restaurant? (Morton’s not really counting as they have limited hours).

We enjoyed ourselves. It is a nice hotel, and the staff were wonderful. To me, it just lacks some of the creature comforts you would expect for the cost. But the convenience to the casino is a wonderful plus.

Ive stayed at this casino multiple times over the years. Sometimes change is good, sometimes not.
The bathroom lighting is extremely dim and the vanity is quite deep making it virtually impossible to apply makeup in the bathroom. There used to be a makeup mirror to help facilitate application. Now it’s gone. Clearly management recognized a problem when they in fact decided to add the portable mirror in the first place.
The bathroom amenities have now dwindled to only makeup wipes. No shower cap, swabs or travel sized toiletries. Guests are forced to use generic, no name brand, bulk products unless they elect to bring their own. For $200 a night i world have appreciated a .03 cent plastic shower cap.
Bottled water in the rooms is no longer a thing. You are supplied with a carafe and directed to a water station in the hallway where you can fill it as needed with “filtered” tap water. Thats just what i want to do at 2 am when I’m thirsty . . . fumble through the hallways in my pajamas in search of water. Had i known bottled water was no longer an amenity i would have pre- planned. Again, for $200 a night i think you could spring for a .37 bottle of water.
A couple of other things that irked me: I was emailed a survey 24 hours BEFORE my check-in asking me how i enjoyed my stay. I panicked! Thought i made the reservation for the wrong day. Scrambled to find my online reservation only to find that i did nothing wrong. How about sending the survey AFTER checkout.
At 9:27 am housekeeping was pounding on my door wanting to clean the room. Last i knew checkout was at 11 am. I would have appreciated a little more consideration and felt this was in poor taste. Don’t assume you have the market wrapped up because of the on-sight casino. There are plenty of other overpriced places in Saratoga where i can elect to stay.

First it would be nice if someone would walk around and ask if you would like something to drink these people are called cocktail servers every casino I been in has them! Second your slots are all outdated! Get some new updated ones instead of the same old ones that been there 20 years. The music could put me to sleep. The whole vibe in that place was like walking through a the mall with no stores honestly. Just my opinion if you been to other casinos and then go there you will see exactly what I mean!

They call this a casino, not even close! There are NO actual table games, just crappy electronic imitations. They allow 18 year old punks inside because it is controlled by the worst government in existence, New York State lottery dept. They only have one decent food place, but if you want breakfast after staying in the hotel, forget it. There is nothing. They have some lame sandwiches in a little store by the hotel desk. What a joke. The swimming pool is the best thing there. The slot machines are not real. They are VLT's, which are video lottery terminals, controlled by computers in the basement. You might as well just go buy some scratch off tickets at the store, you will have pretty much the same results!! If you have any issues while you are there, they will not handle it like an actual casino, customer service is poor. Their crackpot security staff are a bunch of old people waiting to check into a retirement home. They wouldn't be able to chase down a squirrel and couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag.

We have stayed here before covid and had a great time this is an update. We were visiting with another couple to watch the harness racing and spend a little time in the casino. The racing was fun, the hotel facility was as nice as we remembered it. My only complaint is that the dining leaves a lot to be desired. There was a buffet there that they eliminated much to my dismay, gamblers love buffets. There is no where to get breakfast. You have to leave the facility and drive to get breakfast. That's nuts , why would a casino want their patrons to leave ?? Luckily the staff was helpful directing us to a local restaurant. The casino is fun but I didn't like the mix of slot machines so didn't play as much as I normally would have. Way too many penny slots, No quarter machines at all which forced you into playing dollar machines that again forced a person to play too many credits reducing playing time. I would assume they want people to sit there and play for a long time but it was impossible when every machine costs 10 dollars a pull. Bring back the quarter machines !! and the buffet !!

they should offer more things for first time gamblers at casino. I contacted player customer service about visiting for fiance's bday and they said there was nothing they could do for us. i was not too pleased with that but other than that it was a very pleasant time

I agree with many of the other reviews. I have gone many times to this casino just to have a bit of fun but have never won anything.....which is to be expected, but I have NEVER seen any machines as tight as the ones in this casino. You don't even get to play for a while before all your money is gone. If you have another option, go there instead of to this casino!

Worth about 20 minutes of your time...then go enjoy other spots of the region. Only electronic games...no dealer tables. I hate electronic games...you never win. U think there is too much of a chance for things to be rigged. At least the soda machines are self service...unlimited.

We elected to try the casino hotel for our first visit to Saratoga Springs. We are not gamblers, but the rooms are large and clean and the hotel is very convenient for seeing anything around town.

TIP: For our two night stay - no housekeeping!
