No one in our group had ever done an escape room before and we had a great time! With no idea what to expect, we arrived a bit...confused. The staff were super helpful and talked us through everything from paying, to where to put our things, to what we were there to do! We did the outbreak scenario and after our instructions we were good to go. We spent the first ten of our forty allowed minutes walking around the room, trying to figure out where to start and laughing with and at each other. It's definitely more fun with a group and without 5 of us all helping, I don't think we would have succeeded! But we did, and although we were happy to "win" we would have had fun either way. The decor in our room was great and helped set the scene, and there was enough going on in the room to completely derail and confuse us at times - so it really was a challenging puzzle. Will be back!

Great place! We had alot of fun! It's nice to have something so different to do in Potsdam. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying other escape rooms!

My family had a great time. Our family figured it out and our kids had a great time solving the puzzle. Great time!

We played the Art Heist room. We are experienced escape room players and felt that this room lacked a lot. There was no tech to speak of and the was not enough puzzles in the room. The building itself was very nice, and the room was decorated nicely. I did not leave feeling satisfied with the overall experience.

We visited Tactics as a team builder with coworkers (4) it was fun & engaging. It was our first time & we all enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend it to improve office dynamics! We completed the jailbreak room & it improved our communication, trust, problem solving & team dynamics!

Tactics is an escape room venue, at which you choose one of a number of problem-solving themes, each of which is housed in its own room. Tactics is located on the second floor in one of the big buildings in downtown Potsdam. (Head up: You get there by climbing a flight of stairs.) It is clean, well-laid out, and the personnel was friendly and accommodating. Three of us took on the Outbreak Room recently, which is rated Moderately Difficult on their website. As we were first-timers to the escape room experience, we didn't know quite what to expect.
We had 40 minutes to figure out how to find the antidote to a virus that was threatening the global population. Basically, there are a series of clues that you have to discover and solve, each of which leads you to the next, and ultimately to the solution. Although we only got partway through, we enjoyed the experience of having to work together as a team in trying to figure out if something was a viable clue or a red herring.
I would say, however, that although the Outbreak Room might be Moderately Difficult for experienced escape room players, it was much harder for us as first-timers. They also state that anywhere from 2-6 players can participate, but I would say that, for this room, 4-6 would have been far better.

So currently there are three rooms that cost money. The virus/containment room, the art heist, and jail break. One ten minute room that's free to try.
The art room and the virus lab room are 40 minutes and the jail is around 20 minutes. The art heist is the hardest. I've done all the rooms but the jail break.
If you have never done an escape room before I highly recommend this place. They have a mini room called The Study, it's a free 10 minute taste of what it's like. So if you're unsure if you're any good at it or if you'd like it stop by and try the free room with a friend.
They let you do the rooms with two people but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're well versed in escape rooms. The rooms are well done with clues but not as elaborate as some others I've been in.
The art heist is the hardest. Some people get upset when they don't complete it but you must understand it's supposed to be hard and have a lower success rate.
The atmosphere is trendy and modern. It's new and nicely done with clean bathrooms and a cool waiting area. Go with some friends and try it out! Be warned it's addictive though.
