This is a very beautiful church. The inside is amazing. I stumbled upon this just wandering through the streets while shopping and I am very glad I did.

The interior is decorated with large religious portraits framed with pillars. The dome on the interior is a beautiful "mediterranean" blue - orange and cream on the exterior. Built in 1823, the church was in service until it received major damage in the earthquake of...More

This cathedral not only impressed me for its beauty, but also thanks to its poster at the entrance saying "God has free wifi!". The trip to this church is worth it, you basically stroll across all Thira and enjoy the small streets.

As someone who isn't very religious I went to this cathedral with my mother who wanted to see it. On entering I felt instantly at home and at peace. The place is absolutely beautiful and has been very well maintained.

We were able to tour the cathedral on our own. They just ask you remain quiet and take off hats. The church was beautiful, and photos were allowed. It's neat to see if you have the time to stop by.

The cathedral is open to visitors daily. One can appreciate the old architecture. Walking along the Nomikos Way you'll run in to the entrance. Strangley taking pictures inside is not prohibited.

Free entrance. Only small inside so if it is busy with organised boat trips you would have to be patient.

Anyone coming to Santorini on a cruise ship can easily find the Cathedral right along the walks around the town. You either take a cable car, or ride a donkey up or you can walk. When you get up there, just look for the... More
