We spent the afternoon in this little village and had a wonderful time. It sits at the top of a small mountain so the views are gorgeous! There are several hiking and biking trails from the public parking lot that we enjoyed also.

This castle is in the center of the village by the same name. Commanding view in most directions. Costs 5E each and very informative. I thought the castle and the rooms were well restored. It is not grand but very nice. Make sure you walk...More

Great castle to visit if you love authentic feels and rummaging around in rooms without guide. This castle offers many rooms on several levels and a very nice courtyard.

A fortified castle well renovated and plenty of historical and architectural documentation to help during the visit. Some nice furniture.

Well worth a visit. Marvel at the building - how did they get all the stone up the steep hill in olden times and the outside most wall is very impressive.

It's a beautiful castle on the hill, in the village with fantastic views. We thought €5 was really good value but once inside it was clear that you couldn't really charge more as there wasn't loads to look at. They have a really good exhibition...More

If your interested in old buildings/castles this is a must-see. Situated on a hill with a marvellous view in a very pitoresque village with restaurants and cafés.

I had the pleasure of coming here during the medieval market, and it was lovely. The dressed up participants made history come alive and made the visit all the more wonderful. The caste itself is beautiful. The fading interior is absolutely gorgeous and I could...More

High on the hill, this attraction offers incomparable views of the surrounding countryside. The castle tour is well worthwhile.

Not in the village centre I don't think but there's a large car park a few hundred metres from the centre and it's then a flat walk, but in the village some of the streets might be difficult for a disabled person.

We visited Chateauneuf-en-Auxois this past summer but had a rental car. The area is very rural. Have you checked with the tourist bureau in Dijon or Beune to see if they can give you some info? Visiting this town was... More
