I was delighted to be able to see THE place where it happened. Awesome facility. When we walked in, there were no guides, no docents, no one anywhere except visitors and a fella on the Zamboni..and a janitor on the way out. It is worth...More

We did the 10.00 tour at the complex. Our guide was very knowledgable and was a reporter during the 1980 games.

We had Jim Rogers as our guide. This is the best guided walking tour, of anything, by anyone, that I have ever been on.

Sean was a sensational tour guide, with exhaustive knowledge regarding Lake Placid history and the 1980 games, and an unending passion for sharing it with others. This is a must for any Olympics/sports fan or anyone interested in recent history.

Share the experience of "the miracle on ice" win of the US hockey team vs. the Soviet Union, right where it happened! So cool- we all had chills up our spines. Then we went skating outside on the Olympic Oval where Eric Heiden won his...More

There are clearly posted public skate hours, the ice surface is perfect, and the 400 metre loop allows for a lot of room. There is a heated area to change into your skates and rentals are availalble.

We came prepared with our own skates but you can rent them here as well. The hours for free skating are posted on plain white paper in size 10 font on a bulletin board, not exactly clear but it’s available nonetheless. We arrived when they...More

There was no cost when we skated at the 1932 arena. They had music playing and Santa show up. It was lots of fun! If the outdoor oval is open definitely skate there.
