Definitely worthwhile to see when you are visiting in Lake Placid. There's lots of history here and it is one of the better hockey experiences away from the Hockey Hall of Fame.

We checked this out and were surprised at the small size of the museum however it does have a wide array of memorabilia and facts to explore. There are some hands on activities for young children to play with and a scavenger hunt too. Favorite...More

A must see. All the costumes medals etc and you get to watch the last few moments of the miracle on ice!

It would take an hour at best to walk through the entire thing. It’s not a high tech or spectacular museum but there are lots of pieces of memorabilia.

I recommended to get your olympic juices flowing. Not very large but it does have some interesting information on Lake Placid and the Olympics held there in 1980 and 1932. It takes about 30-45 minutes max so do not plan to spend more than that...More

I loved that they had the US Olympic win against the Soviets playing, it was like you were right there! The museum itself was very educational and had a lot of fun exhibits. My favorite was the plinko game and all fashion that was at...More

If you go to Lake Placid this is a must see. It's a small Olympic museum that will also get you access to the Herb Brooks arena, the location of the 1980 "Miracle on Ice". There are lots of cool artifacts, and background about the...More

We parked in the lot next to the museum and it was free when we were there. Some places on the street are pay as you go, so be sure to check when you park.
