Drag yourself away from Addis; to spend time in an Eco Lodge [that means you don’t shower for FAR too long] in the crisp, clean and magical air of the Ethiopian Highlands. The staff, who care for you, are truly charming humans.

I arranged a brief afternoon trek through the hills surrounding Lalibela. My guide, Habtrmariam, particularly memorable - he is a teaching graduate who shared his insights into politics, science, religion, and education.
