Learning about the World before our World underground
Sep 2020
OurTour Guide did a great job of explaining the caverns and made it fun. He had a sense of humor and was passionate about what he was talking about. He was interested in making sure you learned something from the tour. The tour began with an interesting story of how it was discovered. When walking through the caverns, it was fascinating to learn that these caves have been here for hundreds of thousands of years. A world before our world. The Waterfall was a terrific way to end the tour. This is a trip everyone should take. We know about our external environment, we should all learn about our internal environment.

Its like discovering a new city underground!
Sep 2020
Terrific underground cave with a special features. You will discover a new world in the cave. There are so many features and natural creations throughout the cavern. There is so much to learn about before you get to the highlight of the waterfall. A special place. We had a great tour guide with a sense of humor and enthusiasm for what he does. This is a visit for all ages. I work in a school and look forward to taking students here when the pandemic is over.

authentic - better than the 'other' place
Aug 2019
Of the two places to visit in howes' cave area, this is by far the better, less commercial one to tour. with a maximum of 20 people to each guide, it was more intimate, and more authentic to years ago. It was also 9.00 where howe caverns was 27.00. And here there was an underground waterfall

Underground Waterfalls - Hidden Gem
Nov 2018 • Friends
This 100 ft underground waterfall is definitely a hidden gem & an amazingly unique experience one should have. We visited this place on the way to our tour to Niagara Falls. We were not very excited when we heard its name as we didn’t do any research around it. But the moment we started approaching this place we started seeing snow filled places all around.
It was an great experience for us walking down inside the cavern. The path down to the falls is narrow & slippery but a scenic place with different types of rock formations. We clicked loads of pics there. The temperature below changes and was freezing cold down (probably we visited in November). The falls this deep down are spectacular and worth visit.

The entry fee to the secret caverns is $18.

Suggestions: A must visit in between if you’re driving to Niagara Falls from New York & carry proper winter wears to safeguard yourself from freezing cold temperatures.

Secret cavern tour
Aug 2019 • Family
I don't remember Howe cavern tour. This is less expensive and probably more low key. There is no boat or video. But the tour was informative and engaging. The tour guide could have pointed out more of the distinctive rock formations. But the waterfall at the end was beautiful. There were a lot of steps to climb upand down. Nice souvenirs in the gift shop. Worth it for the price. The kids enjoyed. Would they have enjoyed the Howe tour more? I don't know. Does it matter? Maybe

Needs updating
Jul 2019 • Family
The caverns are cool (literally) and the tour guy was very good. The downside, the bathrooms were disgusting and in great need of a redo. Safety was a issue. Walkways were extremely slippery and cave walls were low. Be very careful. Someone in our party hit their head three times. Plus the tour guide said they lost power last week and he doubted the people working upstairs knew how to operate the back up generator. Not what you want to hear on a tour.

Waterfall worth the price of admission
Jul 2019 • Couples
Warning...I love all types of waterfalls. And this 100 foot underground waterfall was not a disappointment. We visited these caverns after seeing the "other" caverns in the area and we were much more impressed with all the formations here. Our guide was very relaxed and took his time walking through. Allowing us to take photos or just stop for a moment to look at something interesting. These caverns are still family owned and the non-corporate feel is apparent. It's a much narrow cavern and there are quite a few steps (108 exactly) that you must climb down and back up. Not for the claustrophobic or those unable to do stairs. If you can, I highly suggest these caverns.

Amazing Unique Experience
Jul 2019 • Family
I took my girls to visit this when we were in NY last week. It was worth the hour drive and the low entrance fee. This adventure was 103 steps down and a short walk to a breath taking waterfall. It was damp and a little unnerving at times as the guide cut on lights as we went and cut off lights behind us. The guide was funny and very personable. My 6 & 9 year old girls were in awe (and a little chilly - 50 degrees) the entire time. I highly recommend this off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Great experience
May 2018 • Family
It was a great experience walking deep into the caverns... we asked our kids to look out for the rock formations and they had a fun time posing before interestingly shaped rocks...

The caverns were wet throughout but it was quite easy to walk through.
It was really nice to see the waterfall at the end of the cavern. A nice place to visit...

It’s a private property and hence they collect an entry charge.
